Michelle Wagner (she/her)
Director of Support and Outreach Programs
Michelle Wagner, MS, MTS is the Director of Support and Outreach Programs at NAMI New Hampshire (National Alliance on Mental Illness). There she provides leadership for a team dedicated to mental health program development, implementation, and evaluation. In 2019, Michelle began her previous role at NAMI NH, overseeing projects which supported the state’s First Episode Psychosis/Early Serious Mental Illness initiative.
Initially pursuing a vocational path in business, Michelle chose to shift her course and entered the medical field by becoming a registered nurse in 2000. With the onset of mental health symptoms in family members, Michelle’s experience of societal stigma prompted her to want to normalize the conversation about mental health and provide education and advocacy. She pursued a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, graduating in 2017, and continued her education by completing a Master of Theological Studies from Boston University in 2023.
